The tech giant recently  update the sheets service  with feature such as new common  UI, Offline  indicator,  excel  support  and more, and now the company  bring a new smart fill features  to the service. 

Google bringing the Smartfill feature to Google Sheets -Techupdates

The smart fill feature uses AI-based text prediction  and suggests the auto-fill to the users. Google  announced  this feature  via  office  blog post. The post mentions the "smart fill, which detect  and learns pattern between columns to intelligently autocomplete  data entry". Also google conformed  that the new smart fill features  works similar  way to the Smart compose feature of gmails  application, which helps users to make less mistakes and fast writing. The smart fill will also makes the data entry in sheets easier and faster by automating the entries  by analyzing the entire  data in the sheet.


The smart fill  feature will be available to business starters, business plus, essential, enterprise  essential,  enterprise  standard, enterprise plus, education, enterprise for education,  nonprofits customers  and personal google account users. Also the feature will ne directly  available  for users without  any domain control. Google announced  this futures  back in june  this year. Company  expected  rollout  this feature by the end of this year.
