Snapdragon has been dominating Android phones for years, but mediatek is working hard to capture the market with some of their newer chips. Mediatek dominates the full range of budget phones coming out recently. They also offer 5G on their chips.Snapdragon will have to release some chip in a short period of time to take the leadership in the market as they has done in the past, as it is creating huge competition in the mediatek market. Rumors are circulating that Snapdragon will launch their next soc in September.

Qualcomm is said to be developing another mid-range Snapdragon chip, the snapdragon 732G.It is reported that the chip will hit the market this September with a $ 300 smartphones.Although mediatek is in the process of launching their new chip, things are very calm on Snapdragon's side. The recent launch of Snapdragon 650 5G chip has been a huge success in the market, but very few phones using that chip have hit the market.
The Snapdragon 732G is a more polished version of the Snapdragon 730G. It will have two kryo 430 Gold Cores clocked at 2.3 GHz, six kryo 470 Silver Cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and an Adreno 618 GPU. It remains to be seen whether the GPU will overlock. This chip comes with excellent AI compatibility.

Leaks add that the Snapdragon 732G will be a 4G-only chip. The chip was made 4G only as part of cost savings. The source also say the new Soc will be launched in Vietnam this September with a smartphone for less than $300 (approx 22,500 Indian Rupee)

We can not say for sure if this rumor has any credibility, but based on the impression given by the 730G chip, we hope that if a Snapdragon 732G chip comes out, it will translate to better performance in gaming and everyday use of smartphones.
